The Pre-Employment and Continuing Employment Medical Examinations are our priority. We preform the employment exam in accordance with your job duties and employer requirements. What the exam may entail: Blood Pressure Visual acuity (far and near vision) Color blindness test Hearing test Musculoskeletal evaluation Urine test for glucose, specific gravity, protein and blood Urine drug test (chain of custody or non chain of custody) Breath Alcohol Test Pulmonary Function Test for workers exposed to Asbestos and/or fumes Blood Lead and Zinc Protoporphyrin for lead removal workers
Spirometry
Spirometry measures the volume and/or speed of air that can be exhaled.
This is compared to the normal, taking into account the subject's sex, age, height and weight.
It is a useful measure to determine if lung function is compromized due to disease or adverse environmental exposure.
Our spirometer is the MIR (Medical Internation Research) Spirolab.
It features a disposable turbine after each use in order to avoid contamination, a Touch Screen and Blue Tooth communication to our server.
We are conveniently located on Airport Blvd, 1.8 miles west of the 101 freeway. There is plenty of parking.
Respirator Quantitative Fit Test
This test ensures the proper fit on the wearer's face of a half-mask or full facepiece respirator. These respirators use disposable filter cartridges and are worn by workers exposed to toxic
chemicals and fumes such asbestos removal. insecticide spraying, fumigation, fire fighters etc.
The test utilizes the TSI Portacount Instrument to detemine the Fit factor: The portacout
fills the room with alcohol droplets, then determines the ratio of alcohol droplets in the room to those inside the mask. The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires
A minimum fit factor of at least 100 for a half-mask respirator and at least 500 for a full facepiece negative pressure respirator.
A Quantitative Fit test can also be done on an N95 mask,
however, it cannot be used afterwards for respiratory protection as a probe needs to be punched through the mask in order to conduct the Quantitative Fit test
Respirator Qualitative Fit Test
This test utilizes a bitter solution to determine if a disposable face mask (P95, N95) properly fits on the face. The mask wearer puts on the mask then a hood is placed to cover the mask wearer's head. A bitter solution is sprayed through the opening of the hood. If the mask wearer can taste the bitter solution, the mask does properly fit and a different size mask may provide a better seal

This recording can detect abnormalities of the heart rhythm, enlargement of the heart or prior heart attack.
Our EKG is the Atria 6100. This machine utilizes the University of Glasgow interpretive analysis program.
The program factors in Age, Gender, and Race. Wireless capability provides efficient transmission of the EKG to our server.
We have been doing EKG's for airline pilots for many years.

Audiometry
Audiometry is a hearing test to evaluate hearing ability. As some workers are exposed to high noise levels in the workplace (for example construction),
evaluation of hearing is recommended at routine intervals to differentiate age related hearing loss from accelerated hearing loss due to exposure to
high noise levels.
Our audiometer is the Inventis Harp which is capable of testing pure tone as well as speech audiometry. The audiometer is PC enabled and can generate
reports of the hearing test.
